These awards are assessed through recognised UK training and assessment frameworks and represent established standards for leading and instructing in mountain and climbing terrain.

Professional Membership

Mike and Bryce are members of the Mountain Training Association (MTA).
Mike is also a member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors (AMI).
Membership reflects ongoing professional engagement, adherence to recognised codes of conduct, and continued development within the industry.

First Aid

All expeditions are led by instructors holding current first aid certification appropriate to remote and mountain environments.

Insurance

coldSTONE Mountain Works holds public liability insurance covering guided and instructional mountain activities in the UK. Insurance certificates are available on request.

Operating Model

coldSTONE Mountain Works operates as a UK-based sole trader business.
We do not act as a package holiday provider. Accommodation and travel arrangements are made directly by participants unless otherwise clearly stated.

Financial Protection

coldSTONE Mountain Works complies with the UK Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 where applicable.
